Durban - The N3 Durban-bound, after the Marianhill Toll Plaza and before the Richmond Road offramp, has been closed to traffic following a fatal collision this morning.
Emergency teams are currently at the scene.
Rescue Care spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson, said one person has been killed and another was stabilised at the scene before being rushed to a local hospital for further care.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a truck, is still entrapped in the mangled wreckage.
Jamieson said teams are working to extricate the man from the truck, which burst into flames shortly after the collision.
The truck was carrying bales of hay.
Jamieson said all necessary emergency personnel were at the scene.
Traffic has been severely affected by the crash. Jamieson further advised motorists to avoid the area.
