Drugs worth half a million rand seized in Greenbury, Phoenix.

Durban - Two men from Phoenix were arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs with a street value of R500 000. 

Leonard Munsami,31, and Feroz Khan , 44, were arrested on Friday, by Hawks members from the Durban Organised Crime unit. 

According to Hawks spokesman, Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo, members received information about drug dealing activities in the Greenbury area  and a search warrant was obtained. 

"During the search 1 kilogram of cocaine powder, 50 pieces of crack cocaine,1000 mandrax tablets and 550 ecstacy tablets to the street value of approximately R500 000 were found."

Both men appeared in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Monday; Munsami was granted R30 000 bail and Khan R40 000. 

The case was adjourned to January 2018. 

This was the second arrest in less than 6 days in the Phoenix area. The Phoenix Drug Task Team nabbed two alleged drug dealers for allegedly dealing in rock cocaine and mandrax.
