Durban - Diolan Govender is on top of the world after winning the Mr Teen World title in Turkey on Monday.
The 15-year-old, of Durban North, also scooped the Best Talent and Best of the Best categories.
“I have been preparing day in and day out for this for about four months and feel amazing,” an elated Diolan told POST on Tuesday.
“I feel so blessed but I’m still in a daze. I can’t believe I won. It’s such a rewarding feeling when you have achieved your dream.”
Twenty-two contestants competed from countries including Russia, the Ukraine and Latvia.
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for Govender on social media.
His mentor and pageant coach, Ntombifuthi Gumede, wrote: “When they say hard work pays off, you are a true example of a hard worker and a go-getter
“I’m the proudest pageant coach ever, I’m the proudest friend, proudest mother figure.”
Diolan returns home this week.
