Durban - A Pietermaritzburg panel beater is to appear in the Durban Regional Court on Friday on another case of extortion.
Zaid Alli Hoosain, 32, who is currently serving a seven-year sentence in Westville Prison, was sentenced last week for extorting almost R 500 000 from a Chatsworth doctor who had a private rendezvous with him in 2014.
The latest case in court is similar to his previous charges where he would entice wealthy victims into intimate relations with him and then use it as a tool to siphon money from them.
In 2013, Hoosain pleaded guilty to threatening and extorting money from four people. He also has previous convictions.
