DURBAN - The popular ’I Heart Market’ will be making its return and begin trading outside Moses Mabhida Stadium from Saturday, November 27.

The market, a curated collection of Durban’s thriving maker community provides trading opportunities for 80 small businesses, returns after a 20 month hiatus due to the pandemic.

For twelve years, the market has been curating a platform for local creatives to showcase their one-of-a-kind creations, and give small businesses a boast.

The festive markets will begin on November 27 and take place on December 4 and 11 and January 8from 8:30am to 2pm.

Anna Savage, owner of the market said they were delighted to be back on the lawns of the stadium “a popular and convenient central spot for all.”

“We are so happy to announce that the I heart Market is returning for the festive season,” said Savage.

She said the market was all about supporting small local businesses whose products would never be found among any imports or mass manufactured goods.

“We pride ourselves in finding interesting and exciting products produced by our local creative community. So expect to find old favourites from home-made pastries, local cheeses and olives, locally designed and produced clothing, home furnishings, accessories, unique silver jewellery, and some exciting new additions, with loads of Festive Season inspirations, and so much more. All made with love,” said Savage.

She added that they were looking forward to welcoming their loyal traders and customers back.

Entrance is free. Dogs on leashes are welcome and there’s underground secure parking available.
