Durban - A suspect was arrested for robbing an elderly woman and an elderly man in the Hilton area between Pietermaritzburg and Howick on Tuesday.
Magma Security and Investigations said that at 11.45am, a message was sent by Hilton SAPS on the Hilton rapid response group regarding a suspect wanted for two counts of theft.
The suspect had robbed an elderly woman of her cellphone and an elderly man of two backpacks.
“The suspect was spotted heading down Howick Road. Magma reaction officers pursued and apprehended the suspect,” Magma Security and Investigations said.
“The suspect was handed over and detained at Hilton SAPS.”
