Velociraptor Awareness Day tomorrow gives us a reason to ponder this extraordinary creature that roamed the earth 70 million years ago. The size of a turkey with the temperament of an eagle, they were the villains in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park franchise and are known for being cunningly smart with super-sharp claws and fierce teeth.

Hamming it up with two of the dinosaurs in the magical Ammazulu Garden and Sculpture Precinct in Kloof – home to more than 125 enormous artworks – is actor Aaron McIlroy who is performing a fun new one-man show, Alive, at the nearby Rhumbelow Tina’s from April 21-25, supported by 1000 Hills Community Tourism Organisation.
