DURBAN - THE DreamTeam organised Dubane Spring Break which was set to take place at the uShaka Marine World has been postponed due to heavy rain, organisers said on Saturday.

The outdoor event was set to take place at the uShaka Wet n Wild with scheduled performers including the likes of Cassper Nyovest, DJ Tira, Zulu Mkhathini, Da Les, TipCee, Sphe & Naves and was set to be hosted by actress Pearl Thusi and Scoop Makhathini.

In a statement on Saturday, the organisers said they had to take precautionary measures as there was a pending storm and heavy rain in Durban.

It would have been DreamTeam's fourth annual spring break party at uShaka.

Organisers assured ticket holders that the event had been postponed and not cancelled. They said ticketholders should keep their tickets for the announcement of a new date, which was set to be announced on Monday.

One half of DreamTeam, Lusaso “Saso” Ngcobo, said the postponement was beyond their control.

“We as organizers of Dubane Spring Break, are truly sad to have postpone today’s event due to circumstances beyond our control. As Dubane Spring Break, it is of importance to provide our fans and event goers with the ultimate annual pool party; and with the weather not favourable to our event we are left with no choice but to postpone to a later date.”

uShaka’s Vuyiswa King said all artists had been notified of the postponement and said the public would be advised on a new date soon.
