THE Bridgetown Theatre Company (BTC) in association with Joeline Daniels Pulse Entertainment have been afforded the opportunity to provide some of the local acts for the free Concert in the Park at the Athlone’s Nantes Park, Silvertown, on Sunday from 1pm.

The event will feature singer Jimmy Nevis as well as popular act The Rudimentals.

The Bridgetown Theatre Company will feature a youth band dubbed The Young Visitors, featuring Jaden Damon, Reon Williams, Thurston Maduna and Aldrin April. This youth band was trained and mentored by renowned Molly Baron of The Rockets fame.

Appearing with The Young Visitors will be Bridgetown Theatre Company and Pulse Entertainments’ all-female singing sensation – vocalists Tanya Johnson, Jesse Simons and Zoe Daniels; plus dancers Tammy Madell, Nadine Koopman and Matthew Poole, who recently featured on the television program Hectic 9 with talented singer Roxy Tarryn.

All these young performers come from Bridgetown, Heideveld, Kew Town and Athlone, and BTC regards this as a proud moment for their performers to bring to life lyrics of a song – “If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere”.

Much-loved Nevis, a resident of Vanguard Estate, Athlone, is also “coming home” to give his local fans and the people that he grew up a free concert in the area.

The production will have strict security.
