Conscious of economic pressures on South Africans, Paarl and Wellington Tourism general manager Annelize Stroebel said tourism offices in the region had compiled a list of affordable fun things for people to do.
“We’ve looked at the offerings by our members that could help to make memorable summer holiday memories even if you are a bit cash-conscious.
"We now have a number of options that are free or cost under R100 or even R50. We hope this will encourage visitors to explore our beautiful region.”
Stroebel said for R50 or less, visitors could do olive tasting at Cascade Manor and Villamar, beer tasting at Berg River Brewery and Wellington Wines, or picnic in picturesque Landskroon or at the Afrikaans Language Monument.
