CAPE TOWN - A second dead body has been found on the False Bay coast this week, this time, the body of a young woman on Monwabisi beach.

Her body was found by a jogger on Tuesday morning.

Police spokesperson Frederick van Wyk said police were investigating.

“Harare SAPS attended a scene at Monwabisi beach, Harare. At approximately 10.35am police were shown the body of a 22-year-old woman who was declared dead on the scene. She has been identified but her full details have been withheld until her next of kin has been notified,” said Van Wyk.

On Sunday, a man’s body was found on Mnandi beach. According to police, the body was discovered by a passer-by at around 6am.

Community activist Thabiso Mhlambi said the leaders in the area would meet in efforts to “curb the killings” in the area.

Mhlambi said residents did not hear screaming on Tuesday.

He said a relative was able to identify the victim as being from Delft.

“It is believed that she visited Enkanini informal settlement to do her hair,” he said.

“We have noticed that the bodies being dumped in our area are people not from our area,” Mhlambi added.
