Cape Town - A male paraglider fell to his death in Llandudno in the Western Cape on Tuesday afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 14H00, they found the man lying on the front stoep of a house. Generic Paramedics, the Llandudno Lifeguards and the SAPS was already on the scene. The man was found to be in a critical condition, and his vital signs deteriorated rapidly. Despite the paramedics' efforts, they were unable to revive him, and he was later declared dead on the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known, but local authorities attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.

In a separate incident, a man believed to be in his early 20s suffered fatal injuries when he was knocked over by a cement truck at a Durbanville quarry Wednesday afternoon. ER24 paramedics arrived to find the worker lying some distance from the truck. 

Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
