Sao Paulo - Two-times reigning world champion Mika Hakkinen of Finland on Sunday led the warm-up session for the Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix a fraction ahead of German ace Michael Schumacher.
Hakkinen, who starts the race later on Sunday from pole position, clocked 1 minute 16.343 seconds in a McLaren-Mercedes. Schumacher had 1:16.348 in a Ferrari, just five thousands of a second behind Hakkinen.
Scotsman David Coulthard was third in the other McLaren in 1:17.008 and local hero Rubens Barrichello fourth in the second Ferrari in 1:17.102 minutes.
The Brazilian Grand Prix starting at 1700 GMT is the second of 17 season races. Schumacher had won the season-opener in Australia a fortnight ago ahead of Hakkinen, while both McLaren's failed to finish with engine problems. - Sapa-DP
